Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is a well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina started her career writing nuclear energy policies and budgets of the White House. Although she found her job intellectually stimulating initially eventually she stopped her pursuit and decided to purchase a smaller speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. The store was very successful for 18 years before she decided to let it go. She then began the first book. In the following years, numerous cookbooks were published and she also wrote magazine columns. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. In addition, she offers products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and equipment. Ina is not a student at any cookery school or employed in a restaurant, and has a complete self-taught. Her name is associated with her casual approach to creating and entertaining. Her most well-known recipes include quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Baked Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
